Checked out the place for the first time today with my partner on a guest pass as were looking for a new gym. All the facilities were good, the gym had everything and the pool was what youd expect. Weve both seen a lot worse indoor pools so we didnt accept the complaints about it after checking other reviews out and going. It is like 30 a month which we though was perfect value for money. Only a tenner more than main stream gyms like pure without the pool and steam room. Way less than David L which is a bump if you dont play racquet sports and want to dine inside also. We will be signing up.

Nice to be back at Everlast after the rebranding. Some of the equipment might be slightly aged but most of things are better than at my previous gym. I got the premium membership at 30/month (offer) with all classes and pool access included. (I think the offer ended and it is now 35/6 months or 30/12 months min.) My membership allows access to all other Everlast gyms & at any time of the day/evening (not just off-peak). Everlast has the best studios for classes in the area (good size, with nice dim lights and without metal pillars in the middle or see-through back glass wall (as you may be able to see at jd). This gym seems more mature female customers-friendly and foreign customers-friendly comparing to my previous gym. Instructors generally respect your privacy and will not record you with their mobile phone cameras during your workouts to post it on social media/instagram. The manager is polite and addresses members in a respectful manner and seems to care. You can sometimes see him in the reception area. You will not see him 'invading' the female changing rooms & showers or gazing at ladies in classes or sending male cleaners to the F changing room. Believe me or not, but a civilised & tactful manager is not something that all other local gyms can guarantee (so please appreciate him:) The website was recently revamped but it is still imperfect. The system displays me as a member at different Everlast and when I log in I see a message asking me to purchase membership in Sunderland.... Nevertheless, the new website is better than the previous version but still has several 'silly' features; 1. Every time you log in you are being reminded of you age. 2. Also several days before your next monthly payment (DD) is due there is a red coloured message saying your payment is now overdue...prompting you to pay it.. Some more good aspects of this gym; you can control temperature in the showers -so any temp. from cold to quite hot is available. There is always some liquid soap in the shower cubicles. The changing rooms are clean but without any cleaner 'living' in there and bothering members. If I was to suggest an improvement to this gym, it would be to further improve the website. Apart from this; the spin room really needs an upgrade. The sound system, irritating lighting, decor and old, bikes (ones that do not show speed/rpm/resistance level and calories burnt during workout). We would also love some better, easy to use sound system that does not make the farting sound. Sadly, jd is ahead of you when it comes to the spin room design in Sunderland. It is 2022 not 1980. Catch up Everlast! Finally the timetable needs a bit of improvement; it is missing some good cardio classes in the afternoons (such as a combat on Tuesday after Define or Thursday after Lift for example) or step classes. The ideal timetable here would have more (lighter) classes such as yoga, zumba +pool classes available in the mornings. The higher intensity classes ie; lift/shift/combat style classes will attract most customers in the evenings. Nevertheless, the selection of classes is very good already and you will surely be able to find 3 good classes/week
