We purchased a Cable Spiking Tool(BOW-F-CSTE) from T&D last year and the pump which comes along with the tool was faulty and was not generating pressure. The very next day when we received unit at our store, our store people recognized that the unit is faulty and we informed T&D regarding the same, the following are the statement which we received from them. " From the time we opened this claim with the factory, they have since discontinued the BOW-F-CSTE. This means they will not accept the unit for repairs anymore.I am truly sorry for this. Please advise how you wish to proceed.."
As a standard procedure when T&D requested to send back the units to their factory we send back the unit to them on our cost and the above stated was the comments which we received.
It took around 4-5 weeks time for T&D to respond and the following are the comments which we received "As previously explained the manufacturer is no longer in business and therefore unable to assess the returned pump to establish the cause of the failure. Due to this we are unable to get any credit note from them and therefore unable to provide one to you.
I have discussed with management and they have advised that if you are able to place business with us to the value of 5000GBP they will deduct the cost of the pump from the overall invoice as a gesture of goodwill."
T&D was trying to squeeze more money from us rather than supporting us.
We, GIS always keep our business ethics and a good relationship with our customers, so we completed the delivery by replacing a brand new pump which we purchased at our own cost.
So, everyone please be vigilant while dealing these kind of peoples.
