It normally takes 2-3 weeks to get an appointment since they took over another retired doctor's practice in Birtley and they seem to be well over capacity. I can't actually remember a time where I have seen a doctor lately without having to run up to the A&E or walk-in, since I didn't think it would be healthy to wait bleeding for 2-3 weeks. that is until today when due to unpreventable circumstance I turned up 20 mins late for my appointment and was told that no-one could see me, despite the waiting room being desolate. Not sure if all Doctors are the same in the current state of the NHS but I suspect there are better.
