DO NOT GO HERE! Worst dentists around. 3 years of plaque build-up has caused my partner teeth troubles. Even though shes been for checkups every 6 months without fail. Failure to clear the plaque away from the teeth during checkups has resulted in a molar becoming so jagged that food was unable to be removed by brushing. Which resulted in the tooth starting to decay during her pregnancy which caused horrendous toothache and resulted in a root canal and a temporary filling from an emergency dentist at Durham hospital. I went to this appointment with my partner and the dentist said "This is just a temporary filing and will need a crown" Fast forward a couple of months and my partner has an appointment at this practice .first an appointment to look at the tooth next an appointment to have rods put in the dental cavity and a crown on top of the tooth to stop food from getting stuck inside the worn down filling. No crown, no plaque removal not a single word of advice on any other of her teeth. which were visibly covered in plaque around the gumline. fast forward again to during lockdown and my partner bit down on a mistrel and her whole molar cracked in half (the tooth that was supposed to have a crown on it) That is the point of a crown on a back tooth the give it support and stop it from fracturing. my partner complained at this point about the plaque on her teeth as well as the pain and was told on the phone it was an infection.she was told a dentist would see her and try and scrape some of the plaque off with hand tools as drilling was not allowed due to COVID-19 restrictions that were in place at the practice. they did not attempt to clear the plaque away charged her for the appointment and prescribed her the antibiotics Now my partner has gingivitis 2 molars where the enamel is almost non-existant and an infected tooth. She's in excruciating pain and has been given an appointment almost 20 days away after making a verbal complaint to the surgery manager only one x-ray of the fractured molar was taken when i believe that every tooth with plaque or decay should have had x-rays taken to see how much the tooth has decayed especially her front bottom incisors due to there being a large amount of plaque build-up around the gum line. To top it all off, my partner was blamed for this, saying she wasn't brushing well enough. brushing doesn't remove plaque it prevents the build-up of it I can personally verify the quality of this dental practice as I went for a root canal on a crown (it 10+ years old, I don't have bad teeth)to clear out an infected nerve in my tooth and a clean and the dentist forgot to clean slight plaque away from my teeth as well. You trust your dentist, to be honest with you because for all they know you could be oblivious about dental problems. After speaking to two different receptionists on two separate occasions to make a formal complaint concerning medical negligence my partner is told nothing can be done about it and a complaint could not be made as the dentist no longer works for them and leaves her with only a name. Not even any advice on how to proceed with the complaint. Good thing I'm clued up and will keep her right a, unfortunately, my partner is a complete pushover, but I still love her.
