Can't recommend Iona enough. After 11 weeks of asking doctors, health visitors and midwives if our little one had tongue tie (and being repeatedly told no) we decided to bite the bullet and book in with Tongue Tie North East. We were adamant that our little one had one and Iona confirmed it within seconds. In fact seeing now how his tongue should look, I'm surprised he's been putting on weight at all! Everyone was so welcoming, which helped because we were extremely nervous about the whole thing! The procedure was so quick, over in seconds! We received loads of information which helped us to decide whether or not we wanted to go ahead and felt confident we knew how to handle the aftercare. We received a full report with before and after photos, letter to GP etc and Iona keeps texting to make sure he's doing okay. Our little one has other contributing factors to his reflux, so we weren't expecting this to be a quick fix. However, there was a noticeable difference straight away. His latch has improved, he's had less wind, less clicking on the bottle and he hasn't been sick since the procedure. We finally feel like we are getting somewhere with his reflux now, if only we had done it sooner! Thankyou Iona

We took our 4 week old baby girl to get her division done by Iona who was absolutely great with her and with us. She made us feel comfortable and at ease with everything and she was gorgeous with our baby girl. She explained everything to us in detail and put my mind to ease when answering all my questions. Iona even helped with general new mother questions I had. Would definitely recommend her clinic to anyone who is thinking of getting this done for their child. She is extremely professional and super clean. The procedure was very quick and looked painless for my LO. I could tell the difference straight away in the latch once division had been done. Thank you to Iona and team!!

Well I cant thank iona enough! after battling with the hospital for over a week to get my little boy a referral for his tongue tie and doctors and consultants refusing to help because he was feeding fine even thought he found it a struggle and was constantly clicking and milk would just leek out of his mouth while feeding I contacted Iona and explained what was happening and we went and seen her she made us feel very relaxed and comfortable in the clinic she then checked my little boy and 100% tongue tie where it was attached to his gum! Yet hospital didnt see an issue because he was feeding fine even though I was sore and would grit my teeth when it came to feed when Iona did the procedure it was done quickly and I fed my little boy on the bad side straight after and no feeling sore and instant relief my son was feeding so much better and no more clicking or milk loss from the side of his mouth I cant thank Iona enough the exercises and the aftercare given was fabulous after feeling like I was talking to a brick wall for over a week it was nice to finally speak to someone who knows what there talking about and not making me feel like I was crazy never for a moment second guess yourself because we know what our babys need so thank you Iona for helping my little boy and making him feed 100 times better and its nice not to see him struggle I cant thank you enough

I cannot speak more highly of Iona and her amazing work. I knew my little girl was tongue tied straight away as she really struggled to latch; I was dismissed by hospital staff almost immediately and never managed to get her to latch properly. Iona was recommended to me by a number of different people and on arrival I knew we were in the right hands. The tongue tie was diagnosed after a detailed assessment and the procedure was explained clearly to us leaving us with no doubt over what would happen and the aftercare. It was a swift procedure which wasnt overly distressing for either of us. Aseptic techniques and maintaining sterile practices were demonstrated throughout. We were given feeding support post procedure but also aftercare advice and follow up support. Not only did Iona help my daughter but she also validated my instinct as a mother and made me feel empowered.
