I recently purchased a brand new XC90 and Im delighted. As a cost conscious buyer I did my research but what sealed the purchase was the excellent customer service provided by the Volvo team. From the first moment the team were knowledgeable, friendly and extremely helpful. They got the balance right between being proactive but not too pushy. Leading this process was Arnas who is a great brand ambassador. His genuine enthusiasm for the brand and the products made the experience joyful. Great service all around and huge thank you!

I had a steering lock issue with a 2010 Volvo C30. I decided to let Volvo Sunderland sort it out after having a good relationship with them and being quoted 320 which was fairly competitive for a main dealer. 2 days before the booking they rang me and said I would have to pay 144 diagnostics fee on top of the price. After a bit of discussion they agreed to allow me to skip this as i knew what the issues was as long as I signed a disclaimer which I was happy to do. When dropping off the car I was then told again I would have to pay the diagnostics charge and could not skip it. They then said I was mis-quotes and that it was going to be 592 plus 144 diagnostics. After booking it in, getting the time off work, organising a lift etc I was great so badly by unforgiving and unfriendly staff that I still have not got the issue sorted out.

We recently purchased a XC40 Mild Hybrid from Stoneacre Sunderland. The whole process was very smooth and professional. The main reason for this, is Arnas, or Arnie as he is better known. We roughly knew what car we wanted, and Arnie showed us round the XC40. His knowledge of the car, its controls, safety features is second to none. At no time was he pushing for the sale. He arranged our test drive, and before we knew it, we had bought it. Arnie is excellent at his job, very polite, always called me Mr Wheatley, and not mate ! When we picked up the car, the handover was very thorough with no rush or time constraints. We did have a small issue, but it was not Arnies fault. He was mortified, and did his utmost to resolve it, which he did. If you go to Stoneacre looking for a car, make sure you ask for Arnie, you will not be disappointed. Just a quick mention about the receptionist Elizabeth. She is the first person who greets you as you go in, and the last one to say goodbye. She is very friendly and so helpful. All in all, a great experience. Thanks again Arnie
