Cannot fault the beach for what it offers, love visiting, however dog walkers spoil it, had to remove dog mess before laying towels down and 2 dogs were allowed to freely run up to my kids things and wee on them, confronted the owners who shrugged Nd walked off. Dogs should not be allowed on the main stretch of the beach. A lovely visit ruined by minor issues.

Seaburn and Roker waterfront is the best thing about Sunderland. My brother and I go for a dip every Sunday morning and my partner and I often go for walks. A beautiful beach, clean clear water, and some wonderful places for food and drink. The North East's best kept open secret.
