When spending 300000 on a renovation without any experience you need support and guidance from people who are knowledgeable and approachable. Thats what we received from BDN. Expert advice on how best to approach a large scale renovation, including initial drawings, submission to planning, advice on suitable builders and materials. Without the ongoing support this could have been a painful process. Instead it has turned into a home my wife and I are proud of, with little stress and a great investment. Thank you Richard/BDN

We used this company to complete a property survey as they recommended by various people including the estate agents we are buying through. As we are first time buyers we were put to ease as when we received a phone call from them they attended the property the next day, however once the report was completed and payment made to them, we had endless issues. I instructed this company on 29th April with a visit a week later - which as mentioned I thought was great and acceptable. When I received the completed report and forwarded this to the bank, I was made aware that the surveyor who attended didn't include their qualifications, meaning this was rejected by the bank, thus delaying the process. I had contacted them to get this amended and found out that the person who attended wasn't officially qualified and that the report should have been signed off by a qualified surveyor prior to me receiving this. upon further investigations, I found the report had incorrect information and when questioned about this along with the report being signed off by a qualified member of staff, I was passed from person to person over a two week period as they were unsure when the initial inspector would return to the office. my confidence in this company wasn't helped by people not retuning calls, messages or emails. My last communications with them I had asked for some quotes regarding some additional work they had highlighted in the report, however 6 +weeks later I am still awaiting for them to provide this - however I have since managed to find an alternative company to complete this.

I recommend this architect's practice to deliver your brief and exceed your expectations. We have worked with them on a beautiful, new extension and also on a smaller project for internal renovation to the old house. They are friendly, reliable and a pleasure to work with, taking the stress out of the rules and regulations of the planning and building process.
