Southern Stone

I've been buying stone and tools from Southern Stone for carving workshops for two years and Tim is always extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The lettering chisels, carbon and diamond rifflers and fire-sharp clay chisels are all of excellent quality.

We use Southern stone on a regular basis to ensure that our students have a top quality stone to work with. The maultease Limestone is a fantastic stone for beginners it is soft to work but still holds the design well. Portland stone is used for our foundation course, also a fabulous stone to work with.The stone supplied has always arrived quickley and well packaged. The tools they sell have always been great and at a competitive price. I have dealt with this company for many years and have found that whenever I have a question they are always extremely helpful. I don't normally leave reviews but the level of customer service and support from this company is shocking. I purchased a Lettering Chisel set last year, after receiving I sentan email as I simply wanted to ask about the sharpness as when checking the chisels all but 1 was pretty blunt! After emailing I was told if Im not happy just return them... I felt that was a little off but I decided to keep them. Back in August, I was using one of the chisels on a piece of stone for the first time, and the tip snapped off. I email the company twice, politely to see if they offer replacementsor repairs and I received no reply! absolute joke, poor qualityproducts,and service! Please do not wastyour money on this company.
