Located in the Southeastern part of the Isle of Purbeck, Littlecroft is a wonderful starting point to hit the Southwest Coast Path or to explore landscape and villages further inland. Virginia and Andrew are great hosts who made me immediately feel at home. They enhanced my stay with delicious food, loads of recommendations, and offered help whenever needed. Navigating the area can be tricky if you depend on public transport, but even in that respect they were willing to help out.

I had a wonderful stay at Littlecroft last week. So much so, I extended my stay while I was there! I was lucky with the weather - blue skies and sunshine every day. Virginia and Andy were such kind and thoughtful hosts. Very friendly and keen to make sure my stay was as comfortable as possible. The accommodation was perfect. Very cosy and stylish, clean and tidy, a lovely comfy bed and had everything I needed. The views were stunning over the valley, with gorgeous sunsets and starry night skys. Id gone for rest and recuperation and appreciated the peacefulness and quietness and nurturing environment. Breakfasts were served at the little table in the room and Virginia was flexible on timings which I appreciated. The food was always delicious, much of it farm sourced and fresh which I really enjoyed. I took my dog and they made him very welcome which was sweet. We enjoyed many beach walks at Studland Bay, Swanage Bay and the coastal path to Old Harry Rocks. A trip to Arne RSPB reserve and Corfe Castle and the pretty woodland walk around the castle. There are so many delightful options in the area! All in all it was a perfect mini break and I can thoroughly recommend staying here. I shall be returning!

Little Croft bnb Close to perfection. Virginia and Andy open their beautiful and welcoming home to lucky guests, set in some of the most stunning countryside, with jaw dropping views Littlecroft B&B was a sheer joy to visit. Friendly, caring, kind and so very considerate I felt Virginia could not do enough for me during my stay, without being overbearing or intrusive in anyway whatsoever. Hosting and my stay in general was dare I say, as close to perfect as could be. Impeccable cleanliness, the room was very comfortable, excellent quality linen, a pellucid attention to detail and ambiance throughout. Wonderful touches, stunning views from the large windows. Loved the Herdwick mug with the kind offer of a pot of tea after I arrived, which I enjoyed outside in the lovingly cared for garden - What a pleasure. Breakfast equally faultless, a tough act to live up to the views on offer from the table in the stunning dining area, however Virginia and Andy certainly strive to do just that. A huge choice of homemade, local, excellent quality continental and cooked produce prepared and presented beautifully. Enjoying breakfast with such spectacular views was a serious highlight of my stay. Many thanks for making a great weekend a truly special one.

This was our second stay at Littlecroft. The first - a year ago - was so good that we felt compelled to return. We were right to do so. Perched on Ballard Down with panoramic views of sea and hills and spectacular sunsets, there can be nowhere better to be in England. Virginia and Andy are the perfect hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. The breakfasts are far better than most many-starred hotels, everything is immaculately clean, the bed is extremely comfortable and everything you could possibly need is provided. You can walk or cycle from the door straight into magnificent countryside. We took our bikes on the train from Cambridge so can confirm you don't need a car at all. There are many miles of beautiful sandy beaches, including the nudist beach (so no problem if you forget to pack your swimmers!). The pub in Studland serves good food and local beer; the restaurant at the Pig is a rare treat. There are plenty of places to eat and drink locally and the village shop has just about everything you could need. If you don't know where to go for your next break, go to Littlecroft. Whatever the weather you will have a great time.
