I would 100% recommend Spindlehay Lodge Rabbit Boarding. Sandy is extremely knowledgable and passionate about rabbits and taught us so much (as we are relatively new rabbit owners). Our two rabbits settled in really well to their temporary home - a lovely large run and hutch and all of their favourite food. They were so well cared for.

My two bunnies stayed with Sandy at Spindlehay lodge for two weeks while we were on holiday. Sandy ensured that they had their normal diet to avoid any disruption to their normal routine and brushed them regularly. The accommodation is a large hutch and interactive play room, they settled in straight away and enjoyed the tunnels and toys. They returned home happy and relaxed. I would recommend Spindlehay and Sandy to anyone seeking bunny boarding.

Rex very much enjoyed his time. The kennels are such a generous size. The pictures do not show just how big they are. Very good value for money.

It is very hard for me to as Sandy has cared for our rabbits for the last 5 years but the service provided from her regarding our rabbit's needs has been appalling and she has let us down very last minute. I recently rescued a rabbit with a number of health issues and he joined my girl who has boarded with Sandy a number of times. I have always been honest and up front about my rabbit's health conditions and Sandy agreed to board him for last April and the upcoming August bank holiday weekend. We have given full permission for Sandy to contact our vets and met every demand she has asked for including a vets letter to ensure my rabbit's well being before they were due to be dropped off. In July we agreed drop off times and I arranged to get a vet letter two weeks prior to us due to drop him off and she has cancelled on me. Whilst I do understand her reasoning that my rabbit requires extra attention for medication, I am very disappointed with how she has handled this, his medication and health needs have not changed and my vet has confirmed this. She has given me two weeks notice before I am due to drop my rabbits off whilst I attend a friends wedding. I feel extremely let down when this boarding has been agreed since January, we have gone to extra demands to provide vet evidence that my rabbit is suitable to be boarded and she has had ample opportunity to cancel this boarding without leaving it to a point where I am now struggling to find anywhere to take my animals over a bank holiday weekend with two weeks notice. The way this has been handled is simply not good enough and if there were any doubts over boarding our animal, she should have told us beforehand rather than make prearranged drop off times when she was in the full picture regarding my animal's health needs. We will be looking for a boarder elsewhere for future and would advise people that this place, whilst have provided excellent service before, have let us down at the last minute when they were fully aware of the situation regarding our rabbits needs. She has pulled out with no warning and little apology despite us having done everything she has asked - getting a vets letter to her beforehand - citing that she has had a bad summer. I get this but she has ample opportunity to change her mind and could of said to us in May when I last collected them if she was unhappy to care for him again. She has let us down and it is not very good service so I would beware if you have a rabbit that needs medication or has ill health for this reason. I am quite frankly shocked at how this has been handled from her end and I will no longer recommend her.
