Why do they waste time sending newsletters by SMS when I had to wait 6 weeks!!! for a phone consultation last summer following suffering from shingles.

Amazing care. My daughter has had an ongoing health issue for years. After getting no help at Frithwood surgery, we changed to minchinhampton. On our first visit she was sent for tests, subsequently put onto different meds, and has just been referred to a specialist. Cant be more grateful.

Shocked to read the last review!! I have used the surgery for over 20 years,I have always received excellent service from the staff,Nurses and G.Ps..all of them go above and beyond.. The last post singled out Sarah, well I will add Sarah(when I have had dealings with her) I have found to be totally professional, helpful, polite, and a credit to the surgery. The office maybe a little ramshackle, that's why they are desperately trying to build a new surgery..their local population and catchment area has grown from when it was first built..my colleagues at work cannot believe I can get prescriptions on the same day,can get to see a doctor within a week, can get an emergency appointment on the same day..and don't have to fill in online forms to apply for a phone consultation with a doctor!!.I for one thank all of the staff at Minchinhampton for all of their hard work and care..yes the NHS is in a mess, blame successive Government s,the NHS has been woefully underfunded for decades...and good luck with your complaint to CQC,you may note that yet again the Surgery has received Oustanding Inspection results, I work in the Care industry, so I know how hard it is to achieve that and how much work goes in to achieve that. So in closing thank you Minchinhampton surgery for all you do for us..and to the last poster...change your surgery!

I would give 0 stars if I could. The reception staff are a complete joke because they couldnt care less about patients. Sarah particularly is a condescending, arrogant and lazy member of staff. I asked for online access to medical records for three weeks in a row because I needed access to them for a private audiology appointment. Three weeks in a row I was told they are done weekly, three weeks in a row nothing happened. I am now 80 out of pocket for a wasted audiology appointment and will now be taking action at the small claims court for this. I am absolutely fuming with the poor attitude of the staff there. If they cant do a simple thing like press a button on a computer (trust me its that simple) then how can they be trusted to look after such personal information. They have no email address whatsoever probably to prevent complaints being made so if they want to play that game its fine a complaint will be sent to the CQC. This place needs to be shut down because the admin staff clearly are out of their depth. I hope the CQC do go in there and kick a few backsides into shape. To be fair its no wonder the place is a shambles when the office itself looks like such a tip. Should have known better than to register here to be fair. I asked to be deducted and they said it would take up to 30 days, total rubbish because I have asked this before elsewhere and they did it straight away for me. Just proof that the place is a shambles. These minions in the office are the sort that would be unemployable elsewhere quite clearly and simply just attend to get paid. In reality what can you do when a doctors surgery reception staff cant even do simple things like do their job. Close the place down and sack the lot of them. This is why the NHS is a total shambles, people attending to get paid and do jack in the process.
