Well I wouldn't totally agree with the other reviews, the food wasn't too bad. As for authentic sushi....well there's a lot to be desired. Comparing it to supermarket sushi is like comparing it to a supermarket Pizza....

High quality sushi and fast service. Generous and fresh topping/filling. Had two types to take away, one with salmon and one with tuna, before actually deciding to have a proper meal there. Both were excellent even one hour after the preparation. We'll definitely come back. Highly recommended.

Terrible! The seafood udon was bland, and the raw carrot and cucumber in the broth didn't work well. Sashimi was served in a plastic tray, as if getting a takeaway, rather than a plate. Miso soup was less than half full in the bowl. And they ran out of seaweed! What kind of sushi restaurant doesn't have seaweed. I could understand if they were very busy, but we were the only ones in the restaurant. Menu was very limited, and quality was poor. I eat a lot of Japanese, and have never had one this bad. Save yourself some money and grab some sushi from the new sushi counter in Waitrose Stroud.
