Initially the work wasn't going as planned. I discussed with Richard who was happy with my request and instructed the other workers on new instructions. The ground works were done well, but the finish look is poor. The tarmac thickness is good, but wasn't rolled properly and has left the driveway with ridges where the roller edge cut in and areas that are not smooth. Richard (the boss) came back to discuss and offered to cut and resurface the area, but this would leave a patchwork area that I wasn't happy for as its a new driveway i have paid for, not a resurface, repair. They have a years installation warranty, I explained that I am concerned about the frost affecting the area, but have been assured this won't happen. Unfortunately there's nothing I can do but wait until winter and hope it won't be affected.
