        Owing to a misunderstanding at the planning stage, the double gates arrived with the latch arrangement on the wrong side. But Tony and Big John were undeterred. They simply cut off the latch, rewelded it the right way round, and primed and painted it to match. All without breaking sweat or suffering any sense of humour loss. And spotting opportunities to install additional hidden bracing to the gateposts they welded on support bars which would later be covered up by concrete footings or surrounding walling. Free of charge. Oh yes, and the gates look lovely. They're plumb and they work. What's not to like?
