Very friendly and helpful staff, quick. Only trouble is if go to the office know parking, have to walk along way. I do all by phone or email.

Our project is local and Rachael's support and local knowledge is invaluable. Her experience and knowledge of important contacts has cut through some difficult issues and given us confidence that we can manage our first building project with her help. The friendly and helpful staff in her office is also a big bonus.

Had a dreadful experience with Rachael from DSH Architects. We were very happy with the initial plans we were given however, despite having clearly stated that we would be moved on to a fixed fee arrangement this never happened. Despite me referring her to her own emails she was obstinate and insisted on continuing to charge me for work, including for work to correct her own mistakes! Then we had to prepare a submission on bats to the council. Rachael said she would do this for us if we supplied the necessary information and photographs. I did this but she failed to submit it to the planning department. When chased, she blamed it on the planning department and offered to the work that she had already said she would do but this time for an additional fee of 250 + VAT!! At this point I had to remove Rachael from the project. I submitted the required information myself with a Dropbox link to the photos and a short email that took me 20 minutes to write and within 1 week we had a result that she had been in unable to achieve in 5 weeks despite having the required information. She paid absolutely no regard to what she had already told me that she would do nor did she pay any regard to her own quotations despite me showing her the evidence within her own email trails. At one stage we thought we had resolved these issues when I paid her over 2000!! Alas that was not sufficient and she kept asking for more money on what is a relatively small and uncomplicated listed building consent application. I'm now having to correct her plans through another designer and proceed with the application at greater expense than ever anticipated. If I had the time and the money I would have looked to recover my fees through the courts. Employ DSH Architects at your peril.
