My husband myself and grandson went there yesterday for the first time ,we were amazed with the set up ,the service and the food was amazing. Lovely atmosphere and very relaxed we will definitely be back .

Having had a busy day, the wife and myself decided to pop into The Boat House for something to eat. We rang ahead to check they had a table and duly arrived. With a bare minimum greeting, we were seated. The restaurant was less than a quarter full. Drinks and food ordered, which was garlic mushrooms as a starter for myself and then two mains of battered haddock with chips and peas. My starter came after about 20 minutes and was ok. My plate was taken away and we watched as people who had arrived after us got their food. After nearly 25 minutes, my wife stopped the waitress and asked if our food was coming and the reply was "We are very busy" . She went to check with the kitchen and we were then told our food would be 10 more minutes. 5 minutes later, another waiter came over to tell us our food was next and would be 10 minutes! Finally getting our food, we ate, paid and left. Shortly after getting home, I felt really ill. Only having half of my intestines and a stoma bag due to bowel cancer, food goes through my system a lot faster than a normal person. I now have raging Diarrhoea. To sum up, the service was poor, atmosphere non existent and food atrocious. Would hate to eat here if the restaurant was full.
