Seriously top level pies. You'd be hard pressed to find better pies anywhere to be honest, not just around Cumbria. Lots of different flavours, both meat and vegetarian options abound. If your a local, then your very lucky. If your visiting the Lakes then definitely seek out Wagtail kitchen and stock up on some quality hand made Cumbrian produce.

These pies are in a league of their own, far superior to anything sold in shops, the best I've ever tasted. I haven't tried all of them yet, but my favourite so far is steak and kidney: sensational flavour. Andrew, Lancaster

Absolutely quality pies packed full of prime ingredients. I've been buying these for years and it's a go to meal when hosting friends/family for a few days

Excellent pie! I've only had 1 pie (so far) and it is the best pie I've ever had. Went for steak and mushroom. Jam packed with quality filling and the pastry was perfect. I'm from pie County so I've eaten my fair share. Wagtails is my go to pie Place now!

Managed to grab the last meat & potato family pie on my way past today and have to say it's possibly the best pie I've ever eaten! Absolutely stuffed with quality filling (mainly meat) and truly lovely pastry. One very happy family, can't wait for the next one!!
