The Hemming Bird Sewing Tuition

Great venue, patient and informative teacher. I would recommend the sewing courses at The Hemming Bird. Have now completed beginners course, piped cushion and Roman blind course.

After being made redundant I found The Hemming Bird and meet Sarah who helped me to professionalise my sewing skills. The Hemming Bird is a cosy garden room setting and Sarah instantly made me feel welcome. We had fun working on projects including Roman blinds, cushions covers and seat pads. Sarah is an amazing Teacher who makes the course enjoyable. I learnt a lot of new skills in the short time we had and I am now confidently creating my own products for family, friends, colleagues and customers. The course was excellent value for money with small groups. I have gained a new friend and look forward to going back to The Hemming bird to do more workshops in the future.

I did the 8 week beginners course at the Hemming Bird. It was really informative and I made some gorgeous items that are a firm fixture in my home. Sarah is lovely and very patient with explaining everything. It was a small group and a very nice setting in the garden room. Her sewing machines are brilliant. I would not hesitate to recommend the course as its really built my confidence up.

I recently attended the piped cushion with hidden zip day course which was fabulous! Sarah was so lovely and welcoming and I had a wonderful day learning lots of new skills. The garden room is a lovely relaxed space and Sarah was so helpful and patient. I think we all had a lovely day chatting and delighting in each others progression. I honestly was so happy with my beautiful cushion at the end of the day and feel so much more confident in my ability. I would absolutely recommend Sarahs courses to others and Im hoping to return and do the curtain day also.

Hello, I had a wonderful time learning many new skills from Sarah. Sarah is a very experienced teacher, patient, adaptable and knowledgeable. The setting is very pleasant and well appointed for any sewing project you would like to attempt. I highly recommend you join Sarah and enjoy one the many courses she has on offer.
