Hate the self service tills, not good if you have a trolley full of large items.

Have been using B+Q since moving to Bidford on Avon 6 years ago as we have been renovating our bungalow. In my opinion they, from my personal point of view, they have been going down hill ever since we started buying from them. OK, you can buy diy items on a Sunday when the Builder's Merchants etc are closed, but you really pay a financial price for this. I just had to, very reluctantly, pay 14 for a can of gold spray paint, and then battle with their new "self service" check out system (which, despite my using it correctly) required the intervention of a (very hassled) member of staff. It took far longer to check out than when the tills were staffed. I now only use them when I have a requirement on the day, and no alternative options available. 1/5/2023 update. Visited today, as wanted some Cork tiles for a project, as have bought them here before, and was told by a very polite member of staff that they no longer keep them. Hey ho. My tiles will now be with me tomorrow, thanks to Amazon Prime.......

Is a good store staff usually are pretty good only had one issue with a member of staffs rudeness but it was late at night and I think they were wanting to go home after a long shift. B&Q have some good app deals which is also on trade point but the click and collect options need to be improved drastically seeing its rather difficult to find stock when a product is selling fast.
