        No child friendly food or child menu Edit - To clarify - We sat at the table, asked for a childs menu and was told there isnt one. We then read the full menu to find the only food suitable for a 6 year old was a 17 burger. So we left without ordering. Unsure what the owner is trying to state in the reply!

        Weve been going to the Four Teas in Stratford for YEARS! Going in today, however, we wondered if we had stepped into another place entirely. Its like it has had its soul removed! Modern music playing (loudly); a much reduced menu with much higher prices; tea which tasted awful; a mediocre breakfast; tacky entrance (is this being developed?); no women waitresses - only men, unless the women have all had the day off; and Ive never seen the place so empty. You used to have to book or wait outside for a table. Also, no lovely cakes to look at and choose from. The place has completely lost its 1940s vibe. Such a shame. Based on what we experienced today we wont bother returning. Not dog friendly either so ignore the online info as it is incorrect or out of date.
