Crowne Plaza Stratford Upon Avon, an IHG Hotel

Went for a 2 night stay for a wedding. Lets start with the positives: Reception staff were outstanding and nothing was too much hassle Breakfast choice was excellent and something for everyone Negatives: Card only no notices to say they dont take cash Service charges on every bar transaction Not enough bar staff on during the function Cutlery dropped on people Pot of tea split on myself and burnt my leg just before the speeches Evening reception; 1 bar staff member on training whilst there was a queue waiting to be served Ran out of draught cider The hotel needs the carpets in the rooms cleaned as they were marked and a bit minging Would only recommend for the breakfast and reception staff!

Partner booked a night away for my birthday, very polite staff and had a free drink Came back to the bar in the hotel after going into town and it wasn't busy, my partner waited at the bar for around 10 minutes being ignored while a person came straight uo and served, we wasn't loud, rude or did anything wrong, My partner said we have been here a while and we should be next, the man serving came with attitude and we brought drinks to be told we do have to pay, which we had the money for. Felt out of place and went to another bar, I felt very looked down on and felt uncomfortable, it was raining so didn't want to head back out but did due to this Location is brilliant though
