As a spa venue was really nice. Pool good and lots of loungers. Shame there isnt a relaxation or snug area which most spas have and they could easily create. It meant that all socialising was pool based. Afternoon tea a little lacklustre and served by a guy who seemed to be covering reception/customer service and lunches. Snacks and drinks reasonably priced and served in reception area which overlooks outdoor plunge pool area. We would return and had a nice day. Group of 6 for birthday.

Beautiful hotel, the building is stunning, as are the gardens. Plenty of different bird species, rabbits and even deer on occasion. The interior is incredibly pretty, stately home style, although there is a need for some minor repairs on small things. But as a Grade II listed building, repairs can be difficult and expensive (although some renovations are planned for October 2023). Food in the restaurant was fantastic and all the staff were friendly and helpful, absolutely cannot fault the service. The spa facilities were great for the most part although some parts in need of a little TLC, but will be subject to renovation and upgrades in October '23. 5-1 minute drive from Stratford-upon-Avon which is very handy. Would definitely return again and again without question.

Very expensive for what you get. The location is nice and the hotel was probably beautiful once. However now it is run down. The staff are a bit incompetent and don't seem to care or know what they are doing. We were a party of 10 and there was a lot of confusion at check in on which rooms we were going to get. Rooms look quite dated, even the executive ones are not that nice and the one we booked smelled funny. We booked dinner at 8 pm and were not served food until almost 10 pm. The spa could be nice if it was clean (lots of hair in the swimming pool, a plaster on the side of the pool that was there for two consecutive days..). We didn't try any spa treatments, but had expensive coffee at the spa bar whose only food offerings were Mars bars and crisps! The gym was probably the only redeeming feature of the spa. The wi-fi did not work at all in my room and there was no service at all- couldn't receive or make any calls/texts. All in all quite disappointing...
