Friday nights service is really slow, they take on line orders so if you attend the shop you wait outside until your buzzer sounds while people who order first. The mushy peas they gave use were off, but the chips are the best in town.

We usually love this place, was the best battered chips for miles! Unfortunately our visit Saturday lunchtime was disappointing. The quality of the chips wasnt great, lots of bad bits of potato and the amount of batter on the chips has reduced, making the chips soggy rather than crispy. Also they usually half fill the bag salt and vinegar before putting the rest in and Salt and vinegar again, this wasnt done this time. Disappointing visit.

Have highly rated this place in the past but sadly today it was a let down. Wasnt very busy and the food was cooked fresh but a bit disappointing. The large haddock was very far from large and quite thin resulting in slightly over cooked fish. Also the batter had no crisp at all. Chips were pretty good as usual and the curry sauce tasty. Tried the doner meat for the first time and it was middle of the road 5/10 doner. First time this place has disappointed me, maybe it was just a one off.
