I'm so, so happy with Little Bears, they checked off all my requirements when I was nursery hunting last year. Honestly when I was looking for nurseries, I was expecting to compromise on at least 1-2 of these things, but I didn't have to: Primary requirements - 1. staff ratio of 3:1 for the under 2 age group (I visited in person to check if this was actually true, since a lot of the other nurseries in the area only said it on their brochure, and the reality was different) 2. Staff that care for the babies a bit more than average 3. Safe environment (no adult size furniture in the room that they can climb up on, baby proofed plug sockets etc) 4. Organised and responsive to emails (lots of nurseries I found took ages to respond) Plus they even matched my second layer checklist! Secondary requirements - 1. Ethnically and culturally diverse (this was important to me, as most baby sensories and nurseries I went to in my previous area in South London were 95% white - what's the point of living in a place like London if other nationalities and races aren't represented?). Little Bears has a really good mix of kids from different races and backgrounds, and celebrates different cultural holidays as well 2. Accommodates vegan options in their meals since I'm raising my baby vegan 3. Has activities/days themed around lots of different things - music, art, sport and so on I love this nursery and so does my baby

Unfortunately we didn't have a great experience with the LB East Village. I hesitated about writing a review, but when my 3.5 year old said 'This is a bad place with bad ladies' after passing by this nursery, 6 months after he left it I thought I should. I found the nursery dreadful: the management was unprofessional, communication poor, staff listless and neglectful with high turnaround of workers. Several times I found my son wearing shoes on wrong feet, once I found him without underwear, often it's been logged that he has eaten when he clearly hasn't. But the fact that being at this nursery has made such a huge lasting negative effect on him is the worst of all.

I can only recommend Little Bear's Nursery, my daughter has been there for 6 months now and it really is a great nursery. The staff is really attentive and kind, the daycare is super welcoming and they pay attention to every detail. plus they have a nice garden where the little one can play. I can leave my daughter there without any stress. Moreover, she has learned a lot since she is attending Little Bear, it's really the best daycare in the neighborhood

Our experiences at Little Bears have been very positive in the three years weve sent our children there. The team is warm, professional and caring and have nurtured our children from nervous starters into happy pupils! The staff have been very supportive to us during difficult periods and gone the extra mile when looking after our children. Would thoroughly recommend.
