We went for lunch, which at the time was pretty empty. Perhaps everyone was busy enjoying the sun, even so I would have thought it would get more customers. The location may have been a factor as well, it's on the high street but away from the shopping centre so it doesn't get much interest, it also means parking is an issue and would be better to get the bus or train. The decor is reminiscent of a Moroccan environment, which feels cosy and welcoming. The food is what you would think of a Moroccan restaurant, but the tagine was of particular interest as I hadn't had one before. We had two tagines - kafta, which was lamb meatballs and pil pil which was prawns. It came in a generous tomato sauce and was enough for one portion. In addition there were hot and cold mezzes, we had the hummus and sambousek which was like a samosa. The mains came with rice and couscous, which were steamed so it had a soft texture and went well with the tagine. At the end we had tea, which was rather sweet and could have left on the side. One thing I noticed were the plates which were chipped, it's a shame as they looked nice but could be replaced. Otherwise it was a nice experience, we were served well and had a filling lunch.
