Try to avoid if you have young children for which you need urgent care. Constantly long queues on the daily/urgent appointments telephone line so uncapable to secure daily appointments even if you have called in their opening at 0800am. if you are lucky you might be offered an appointment in their other branches that far away.. this is more of a supermarket service than healthcare- they are unable to prioritise cases for young children/pregnant women, leaving hospital requests pending for months but on the other hand chasing up for other routine checks that a pregnant woman would be unable to complete/ unable to respond to online consultation requests via their online app as well. Service is problematic and has deteriorated a lot since management changed...even if you call 111 they are unable to check on urgent cases on the day

I started going to this practice back in 2019 so pre-pandemic. I never had issues around that time and my doctor was so lovely. Fast forward to 2021 I moved house so changed GP. I moved back near Stratford in 2022 and signed up to Carpenters again expecting that lovely service from way back - forget it! All staff has been changed and only few good ones remain! Impossible to book Dr appointments at 8am as you have to wait over an hour on the phone even when you call on the dot. I was meant to have a blood test - i had a nurse say twice she couldn't find my vein (even after drinking plenty water before) and that I needed a different thinner needle! She made me go all the way to a different practice to do it where the nurse was shocked and said there was nothing wrong. So unprofessional! She also forgot to ask me if I wanted my pharmacy changed for prescriptions and they sent my meds to my previous pharmacy on the other side of London! Had to wait 20 mins to call them about it during my work hours to rectify that mistake. Receptionists always look tired because they're overworked and having to deal with us being frustrated at this antiquated system. What we should be doing js writing to government instead and being on the streets to protest for the nhs!! Things will only get better then!
