I was too difficult for them to help so they dismissed me without a care but don't worry I'm gonna kill myself so I won't be anyone's problem

Staff make many jokes about patients in office, one way I know this is that I could hear them while on hold on calls and also from overhearing staff conversations while I attended. It is rare to get answers from care coordinators and therapy team with phone number given and just as rare for returns to calls, let alone anything helpful or productive, but there is a lot of empty promises given.. I understand services can become overwhelmed but this is hard to believe as a valid excuse when office staff have been able to say when calling that no one is in office so no one can help, but at the same time the person in office will be able to send a pointless email that won't help anyone either AND the office staff often leave earlier than office hours of help stated.. they give out phone numbers for patients to call when help is needed, which when I tried were actually not working. They send letters a day or two before appointments, if lucky, or if not then appointments sent are backdated. Patients are not seen for many months or even years in some cases.. Staff often cancel therapy appointments etc for meetings or sick days, while patients are only allowed a short amount of sick days until they are dismissed. Most regular doctors elsewhere, even those who are clueless about mental health etc can be more helpful than this department.. I waited on lists for years and then when starting with them I became severely ill due to their neglect and negligence, let alone the trauma they ended up causing. I have become even more ill under teams care than I was before on my own and I now have trauma caused by services here, so Im looking for outside help to cope and deal with how services treated me, when that has been their job all these years and they have done the opposite of helping me recover. I was promised a variety of treatments to help but they were so unorganised I did only bits and pieces of each, which led to confusion due to the conflicting advise of differing treatments.. if I had been able to go through each therapy and complete them each in turn, it could have made a difference and maybe even helped, but they are more worried about discharging patients quickly to move onto the next. During covid, appointment letters were sent to the wrong address which led to me being discharged before promises of therapy were complete, as far as I knew I was still waiting and obviously couldn't attend an appointment if I didn't know about it. I was told I could apply through GP to return to them, funny that they were able to send discharge letter to the correct address though. So, years later I am back to still waiting for help from team.. GP agreed I needed help and therapy to get better and has referred me again, but of course I'm still waiting. If you can afford it I would highly recommend seeking private therapy, atleast while on waiting lists. Otherwise I have heard of great things from others about help and support offered through the charity Mind. I hope if you are referred here that you are assigned a staff member that cares and actually helps you as they are supposed to. I truly hope management and staff do something to turn services here around to actually help people. The one star is for a reception/admin lady who was brilliant and often resolved issues without needing to speak to anyone else, on her own she would get five stars, so I hope the rest of the team can become as kind, productive and helpful as she was and do what they are employed and paid to do.
