We were away visiting friends when Harvey, cairn terrier pup,was taken ill again with vomiting ++ it was on a Saturday morning, we found The Vale Vets at Stourport-On-Severn, only two miles away from where we were staying. I phone & the receptionist was very calm & professional able to offer us an appointment that morning. We registered with them & given reassurance, we were seen on time by Richard, who listened to our concerns about Harvey, he did an extremely good examination of Harvey and gave his advice clearly & professionally, we carried out his advice over the weekend & returned on the Monday afternoon, again another extremely good examination, this time findings a small lump which he explained could be a small f/ body or a swollen lymph node? Another visit booked for the following day for investigation. Harvey dramatically improved & was very difficult to examine ( being a puppy ) every thing was cancelled & we left very happy. Having our little one back, after arriving home 5 days later he again became ill, our Registered Vet was contacted on the Monday morning explaining what had happened the week before, to be told it was not an emergency as it was an ongoing problem ( by the receptionist) & booked an appointment for the following day. We discussed this, not being happy, we phoned another Vet in Sheffield which we been had recommended to us. Seen that day & operated on the following day, he lost about 8 inches of intestine & the removal of a object which he had swallow in February!! Thank you for all your care & showing us how a Vet practice should work in a professional, caring way, all the staff we were involved with were a breath of fresh air, Professional, Caring, Supportive.
