I have used Stephen for years! He is without doubt the the most approachable, dedicated and talented architect I have ever had the pleasure of working with. From small extension work to large new housing schemes he is your man! His eye for design is second to none and his working drawings are as good as they get! All of my trades breath a sigh of relief when they know Mr Whitham created the plans!

Stephen J Whitham Associates provided a first class service not only in the design of our contemporary eco friendly home but also in all aspects of construction including detailed building regulation approval. This was our first self build and Steve was extremely helpful in giving advice on a whole range of technical aspects. Using modern methods of construction incorporating SIP's the single storey split level property incorporates a green sedum roof together with attractive Siberian Larch, slate and rendered elevations together with a Mechanical Ventilation and Heat Recovery system and underfloor heating. The design and orientation of the property maximises solar gain in the winter months and high levels of insulation help minimise energy consumption. Steve's design flair and technical expertise in all aspects of building regulations and energy efficiency helped ensure that the whole project ran smoothly. We couldn't recommend Steve highly enough and would certainly use his services again on an other project. John and Jo Earley

Steve provides a very supportive personal service. We had a project to build 3 houses and being totally inexperienced in this field needed detailed guidance on what sort of houses and materials would be appropriate given various planning constraints. Steve and our planning consultant drafted up some working drawings, liaised with the planning officers and addressed their concerns and submitted the revised plans which led to planning subsequently being granted. Steve provided introductions to appropriate people to prepare surveys and address the multitude of issues that arise on a project of this nature. When we were ready to get going Steve produced comprehensive and detailed working drawings (to agreed deadlines) which everybody understood and were appreciated enormously by our builder and tradesmen. If we ever do another project then Steve will undoubtedly be our first point of call - thanks Steve - we appreciate all the help and support you have given us.
