My wife and I brought our granddaughter to the Wednesday morning play group on a cold, foggy morning in January. I have not been to other activities here or to a service so the focus of my review is on the toddler group. We are welcomed by an older gentleman who noted our name and said perhaps the cold weather was keeping people away. He could not have been more wrong as more and more arrived - there must have been at least 20 children, with mums, a couple dads, and a couple grandparents. Everyone we spoke to was welcoming and friendly. The play group was super organised with many varying toys as well as 'Play Doh' and crafts available. About 10.45, small tables and chairs were set up - it was snack time for children and coffee / tea for adults. At 11.15, everyone went into the adjoining hall for story time, followed by singing. There were plenty of helpers. The church is also a food bank centre.
