Awesome teacher, cant recommend highly enough. Has taken my playing to the next level of enjoyment. Im mid 50s returning to guitar playing and attending the group play along. Jons knowledge and his great explanation skills are giving me light bulb moments every week. My confidence has improved tremendously in the 3-4 weeks Ive been attending his sessions. John manages to get everyone from beginner to experienced players jamming along together to produce some great sounds. I seriously cant recommend this guy enough, you wont be disappointed.

As a bass player who has also spent many years just noodling on guitar making only slow progress, I started taking weekly guitar lessons with Jon in Spring 2021 at the RIC. I really enjoy the lessons because Jon is able to combine teaching me how to play songs or solos Ive wanted to learn for ages while also weaving in music theory in an interesting and fun way. He is a real guitar dude who is passionate about music! Im really pleased with the level of progress Ive made after only about 5 months, my playing and understanding of music has leaped forward! I also attended some of Jons Guitar Club Nights in the summer for some group jamming in a beer garden which was a lot of fun.

Started guitar lessons with Jonathan a few months ago and have been surprised by the progress I've made and can already strum along to a few songs during his Guitar Club sessions. Jon has an informal and friendly approach but is also a master of his craft with deep knowledge of music theory and real world professional experience to back it up. Thoroughly enjoy his lessons and have no reservations recommending him.

Jon is a brilliant guitar teacher, hes very relax and patient , he also makes the lessons fun. My son Started playing at the age of 8 and has become a great guitarist and can read music thanks to Jon , my other son and his friend are also having lessons, they are both really enjoying them , thats half the battle. I would highly recommend Jon, for all abilities.
