Overall, my experience with Pickfords UK was quite disappointing. While all of my items did eventually arrive from the UK to the USA after approximately three months, I found the cost of around 13k (including 2k insurance for 600 cuft) to be quite expensive. Unfortunately, several thousand pounds worth of items arrived damaged, which I believe was due to poor packing. Although we submitted a claim over a month ago, we are still waiting for a response from the insurance company. Additionally, our agent left Pickfords mid-move, and we were not informed of this change. While the UK side of the move was okay, the packing of fragile items was not as good as I had hoped. On the other hand, the USA side of the move was a complete shambles. I received a call on the morning of delivery without any prior warning and had to take a day off work at short notice. The company they contracted, Globalog, was incredibly incompetent, and my items were stuck in Houston for several days before they attempted customs clearance. I am currently in discussions with them to avoid paying the fines for this (circa $2000), as I believe it was entirely their fault. Pickfords have been little help with this. Disgraceful customer experience! I had a terrible experience with Pickfords in my movement from London to Singapore recently. We received our shipment after four months and after shipment, we noticed series of our personal items including a professional camera were lost, most likely during packing day. Please think twice if you would like to hire them as your mover!

Pickfords is a company to steer well clear of. For the past move they have missed ship, come back for extra charges twice then after 5 months the shipment still hasn't arrived. To add insult to injury they had the audacity to ask for a 4th payment due to GBP to USD fluctuations. But once the fluctuation was over and returned back they still claim for the invoice. Avoid these thieving disgraceful company for your own sanity and pocket.
