Abbey Suite.. My mother had her gold earring stolen from her whilst she was under the care of the staff in Abbey Suite. She was asked on arrival to remove her earrings prior to her surgery and given a zip lock bag to put them in. They were then kept in her suitcase amongst her other belongings. The staff had asked her to make a list of her valuables for their records, a her valuables were her earrings, cash and her mobile phone. The earrings had a lot of sentimental value as they were passed onto my mother from her late mother and its a huge shame that theyve been stolen from her. My mother underwent a big surgery and the fact that someone would take advantage of her when she was at her most vulnerable is heartbreaking. So devastating that the acts of one very stupid indecent thief has tarnished the the ward. Especially as the incredible doctors, physiotherapists and staff have been incredibly kind and helpful.
