Optical Express Laser Eye Surgery & Opticians: Dartford

UPDATE (April '23): I had to have YAG and laser top up to get the required results, whilst this process took a year I recieved fantastic care from Ian Paterson and the Dartford team. They kept me informed and properly cared for, thats what you need when things haven't gone 100% to plan, so I am thankful and grateful for the service and customer care I received... ORIGINAL (March '22): Staff really friendly, procedure was quite and easy. I felt thoroughly informed. I could see without glasses within 6 hours and the next day my vision was good and I had no discomfort. Well done Optical Express!!

Had lens replacement surgery at a cost of 7400.00. Optical Express Dartford left me with NO sight in my left eye. I am now worst off then before. They say that they can't correct the damage. I've tried sueing them but they've got expense solicitors.

March 2023 Cannot recommend these guys enough! I've been thinking about laser eye surgery for a few years, due to having children I had been holding it off. I have a number of friends who have had it done; some up in London, some more local, in Dartford. I booked my consultation online not realising that I couldn't drive after. I had a phone call from Hardeep who explained this to me and happily changed my appointment to a suitable time when my husband could pick me up. During the day of my consultation, every member of staff I had an interaction with was so lovely and friendly. Hardeep did all my scans for me and talked me through the process, answering my many questions. After speaking with the consultant, when checking my scan results, I booked my slot with Hardeep. I was keen to get it done before my sisters wedding - Hardeep basically moved mountains to make this work for me, contacting head office to request an additional slot for me which I was so grateful for! On the lead up to the operation day, I had a number of phone calls to check I was happy and if I had any questions. They ran through the procedure and were very informative and reassuring. On the day of the procedure, my paperwork was thoroughly checked and I was taken to the surgery waiting room. Naturally I was quite nervous. Unfortunately the TV in the room wasn't working so the silence started to make me more nervous. Aaron happened to walk past and he popped his head in to check in on me. I explained I had got quite nervous and that the room was so quiet. He took out his phone and connected it to some speakers to play some calming music which I really appreciated and thought was just so lovely! After my chat with the surgeon, I went back to the waiting room for 25mins before being called to the operation room for the operation. The two ladies were so lovely and kept me calm while the surgeon came in and explained what was about to happen. I was walked through each stage which I found helpful and reassuring. The ladies in the room countdown the the time under the laser which again, I found helpful as it allowed me to focus. The procedure was so quick and pain-free. I was then put into a smaller room and the lady went through the eyedrops with me and answered any questions that I had. After that, I was free to head home. Highly recommend these guys and this branch. I was given the option to have it in their London branch but so glad I did not take that option just to, "have it done in London". Lots of lovely, friendly staff. Thank you all!
