I recall my son (now a gastroenterologist) going for interview here and two other female attendees came out crying. As a senior physician I intended to report the panels to BMA but was persuaded by wife not to in case it was his only offer. He got 3 better offers but I have always held Keele in low regard for allowing such poor interview practices. This was many years before 'wokeness'!
