Im only giving one star as there is no option for 0 stars as thats what this store and Terri the operations manager deserves. I needed to cancel the order due to unforeseen circumstances and when rung up to ask about it, I was told that Terri the operations manager would need to sort this and he would get her to ring me. This call didnt happen and I rang again to speak to her. This is where the situation turned nasty. She said I could cancel but would lose 20% of the order value. When I asked why I was not made aware of any conditions at point of sale, her reaction was I dont have to tell you. You should have read them. I asked how I could I read something that wasnt pointed out or given the chance to read it. Terri then got really nasty and started shouting at me and refused to put me through to the owner. I was given a email address to the store. This would have gone to her not the owner. She also said head office cant help. I rung the head office who have stated its a franchise store and they will ring the store and try to get the owner, a Mr Chapman to call me. That call didnt happen. Never heard from him. I would avoid this store and their dodgy way to deal with customers. Rude and abusive staff like Terri and to think she is the operations manager of the store. Clearly there are issues if she treats customers this way. She also claimed that I had not signed for the terms snd conditions and then tries holding you to them claiming the carpet is cut. Shes also charging me 20% of the underlay and grippers that are not cut. Total rip off merchants with disgusting behaviour. You want to shop local and support local companies only to be treated so badly. Terri was so fast to take your money rushing you to pay, not surprised with their hidden conditions. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere reputable rather than these poor excuse for a store. In response to the below reply. What is the point in contacting the Aftersale team, the owner was meant to contact me but failed to do this so do you really think the Aftersale team are going to do much. All I can say is that the franchise of United Carpets are not as honest as they should be with hidden terms and conditions. Just be careful if you go there as when you question them, they turn nasty and dont expect the United carpets head office to help either as its a franchise. Every likely Terri was vile and nasty when the owner cant be bothered.
