Horrendous. Death row! This was my experience when my nan almost died through neglect in this home around 15 years ago. I wouldnt put a dog in there. The matron and the staff on the part my Nan were pure evil. The matron Sandra, was a rotten apple that rotted the rest. My Nan dropped from 9stone to 6 stone in months. She almost died from malnutrition and severe dehydration. It still haunts me to this day. It shud be shut down and the witches burnt at the stake if theyre still there. Steer clear.

My nan was in this home for four months. She deteriorated from the moment she got there. She was always dressed granted but never clean. Her nails were disgusting. Every visit she could not drink anything we had quick enough, she was that dehydrated, she dropped weight massively. When going to the home my nan was loud and opinionated. Within weeks she was a shell of a person. I always asked for medication reviews as I felt she was spaced out over medicated! She had a blister on her foot which the home admitted was from lack of moves on their part which got worse and worse, and had it for over 3months! When queried what they were doing about it was met with hostility by the nurse asking me what I want them to do about it! She died of sepsis and kidney failure from a UTI and dehydration, all of which I feel could have been avoided under the right care as she was known to have regular UTIs and i was continously asking for her to be tested. One visit within 30 seconds of seeing her i knew she had a severe chest infection and had to kick up a fuss to be seen by a doctor which was confirmed, why was this not picked up on ?? All of this was reported and spoke to the home, so before they reply to this saying it wasn't it was! Nothing changed.

I was very lucky to work for this home. One of the best jobs I ever had. Full of amazing caring people who all work so hard to deliver a very high standard of care. I know from my experience the home has probably the best staff taking care of the residents. The home has been given some bad press in the past but I can assure you the place really deserves recognission for the vast improvements it has made. I left for personal reasons. I would highly recommend to anyone
