I found ashfields whilst searching for someone to repair my bridle and a pair of reins. Contacted Rob and arranged to drop the items off, both items repaired and able to be used again. Thanks Rob I will defo be back if I have anymore repairs 5*

Contacted for alteration to sheepskin boots. Response and contact through email were excellent. Work was carried out to a very high standard. Good price quoted. Very happy with the workmanship. Contacted Rob about a new Archery glove. Met him today, he is a very pleasant and honest chap. Spent an hour or so figuring things out and walked out with a piece to try out. Very knowledgeable man and very eager to try new things. I would recommend his services very highly indeed. Can't thank him enough.

Was looking for somebody to repair a 1950's leather binocular case - a family heirloom. Contacted Ashfields. Very helpful. Robert made every effort to keep all the original material and repair it - which he did, including the strap which was in 4 pieces. Highly recommended.

I found Rob and Ashfields leather having searched the web for a local tanner. I'd recently purchased a new old-stock wristwatch as a gift for my wife. Sadly the original strap didn't fit and I figured that a locally sourced replacement would be just the thing. After corresponding with a number of tanners, none of whom had the capacity or were willing to take this project on, I stumbled upon Ashfields leather. From the get-go, Rob was enthusiastic and willing to help. This gave me confidence that I'd found the right guy to work with on this project. The watch is tiny, with the watch strap width being just 9mm at it's widest point. Inn spite of this, Rob has done a great job in creating a stylish strap from scratch using a close matching colour and reusing the original stainless buckle. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the result. If I need to use the services of a tanner again, Rob will be the first person I think about contacting.
