We took the local Youth Club for a Festive curry meal and the staff provided us with a variety of foods including a Chicken Masala and Balti. It was also great to try the different starters, and top it off with ice cream dessert. They were great with the size of the table and welcomed us with open arms. Thank you!

We dined early, reservation for 6.30 on a Saturday night. We were the only customers in there. We had reserved a table for 5, given a table for 4, we had to drag a chair over and grab some cutlery and place settings...not sure why as other than one man and one couple, there were no others customers the whole time we were there....so we could have had the pick of tables. After 15 minutes we had seen no staff at all. We called out and finally a man came to take our drink order. We ordered poppadoms for the table then attempted to order drinks. We managed to order one drink then asked if they sold Guinness .....the waiter disappeared...we assumed to ask the question. Another 10 minutes later a different man came with the poppadoms and took the drink order...turns out they did have Guinness but not the Cobra that was originally ordered!!?! Drinks came, we were left all alone again....45 minutes in and no one in sight and no food ordered. Again we had to chase down any member of staff. We should have just walked out but unfortunately we persevered. Finally took our food order. We have now been in there well over an hour. The starters finally came, all were luke warm and the food was not of good quality, chicken was very dry on my starter. We then waited once again for the starters to be cleared...and waited ...and waited. Again we had to chase down some service...we were very annoyed at this point and pretty much made it clear we weren't all that impressed. We didn't swear or shout or get particularly rude, just pointed out that the service had been non existent and it seemed that the takeaway service they offer was taking a priority. The man we said it to just said the kitchen was working on our mains and walked away mid way through us voicing this feedback so not at all bothered. The mains finally appeared. We had been there over two hours at this point. My main was really not very nice at all, and I didn't eat much. One other member of the party had a Lamb Balti with Vindaloo sauce....he always opts for a Vindaloo and enjoys a very hot and spicy curry. One mouthful in he started coughing as it was so hot....it was basically inedible it was so spicy...makes me wonder if our feedback on bad service was dealt with by ruining the meal. The best thing that was served was the popcorn chicken and chips the 7 year old in our party had. It even took ages to get someone to take the payment at the end. And the scummy fish tank in the entrance and boarded up door glass just do not fill you with good vibes. It is honestly the worst restaurant I have ever been in for service, and the food definitely did not make up for it. It was the first and last time I have been and I would never go again and never recommend it to anyone. Their takeaway business seemed brisk so I assume people do enjoy their food. If that is the case the owners should close up the restaurant and concentrate on the takeaway business because it really does not work as somewhere for people to have a nice meal out.
