Fittingly

Joe, the guy who fitted our bookshelf, was amazing. Worked hard, communicated well and nothing was too much trouble for him. The lady who helped with the initial design process was also helpful and easy to work with. However, we opted for the 'paintable' options, so that we were not limited to the choice of colours on Fittingly's website. Unfortunately it turns out it's not paintable - we've tried four different types of paint, all of which flake off with a gentle touch. I've asked Fittingly three times - twice via email, once online chat - what paints Fittingly recommend, and still they cannot answer. The best they can do is forward a PDF from their producer, which is unhelpful and doesn't resolve my issue or answer my seemingly straightforward question. So the paintable materials are, in fact, not paintable. I'm now in the process of trying to remove all the sticky factory labels which our entire bookshelf is covered in; they have been a nightmare to get off. Having tried numerous products, we have ended up using a scraper and white spirit to remove the sticky residue.. I'm pretty shocked by how much work I'm having to do, and the stress it's causing, when I chose this option as it seemed hassle free. I presumed I'd be able to crack on with painting, rather than spending days preparing it. Overall, I regret not just using my local carpenter.

I have used fittingly 3 times and on each occasion the service has been great. Online process & follow up really clear and user friendly. Delivery guys & fitters polite & courteous.

Excellent custom wardrobe that fits perfectly around the fireplace. The design process was really straightforward with Hinal being a great help getting the most out of the available space (particularly the very high ceiling). The actual fitting process was also superb with Tim and his lads doing a great job and managing to get it all done in only a few hours. The overall quality is brilliant with everything perfectly aligned, all the trim being cut exactly to size to close up the gaps to the ceiling and walls, and all the doors being soft-close etc. It has completely transformed the room and will free up so much more space by allowing everything to fit in this one area, rather than being spread across multiple chest of drawers.

We used Fittingly for the bespoke manufacture, delivery and installation of our new fitted wardrobes. The quality is really great and all of the staff are a pleasure to work / talk with. The installer was friendly and did an absolutely fantastic job. Can definitely recommend this company to anyone!
