How come they are part of the Tesco group but still able to charge 1.80 for a loaf that cost down the local Tesco store 1.10 ? Prices for most things are at least an extra 20p more. Understand those people buying the odd item but its ridiculous!! Having the parcel service is a plus. Staff in the store are friendly and helpful but unless its an emergency Im not buying from there .

Updated may 22. Daylight robbery unless you're buying bulk alcohol which may be same as Tesco. It's about time Meir park had a fair deal for its residents. Jan 20. This used to be exactly what you'd expect. Local and convenient with some good bargains. Now it's just a ripoff. Since it was taken over at the start of the year prices have gone up and all bargins/deals withdrawn. Chocolate 1.75, everywhere else 1.00. Milk 1.15, everywhere else 1.10 ,or less. Bread 1.60, Tesco 89p. Cauliflower cheese 2.75 tesco ,1.50. Best avoid unless you've go money to waste. Have some exercise and walk to aldi or tesco. Also One Stop Meir and Premier Meir Heath have lower prices for the same goods. So why are residents on meir park being ripped off during these difficult times. Also the shop often has empty shelves and is poorly stocked so you may need to go somewhere else to get your local convenience anyway. Sad I have to write this after 20 years of using this shop.
