Ordered 2 packs of beer via just eat and they only sent one. Ripped off by 8. Rang the shop. Man who answered was indifferent and didnt even say sorry and said to contact just eat. Horrible customer focus and service. Local businesses run by yobs. Could have offered to sort it out. Another business I wont be using. Sign of the times. People cant be bothered.

Just popped in for some bread, the man who served me was so rude, no please or thank you, just 1.40, Ive worked in retail in the past and I would of been sacked for not using basic manners. Wont use this shop again!

It is what it is, a small chain grocery store. Smaller than their semi-related Tesco Express chain but always well-stocked with most things you could need in a pinch - bear in mind that they dont stock Tesco own-brand household goods anymore so you will pay a premium for branded goods. Has its problems with shoplifting but you could say the same about every grocery shop in Stoke-on-Trent nowadays. I have a few friends who work there and the rest of the team are always friendly. The only issue I really have - and this is not reflective of the Fenton team - is the companys focus on online delivery services like Just Eat etc. - the company have not invested in man hours to cope with this. This has the double knock-on effect of leaving in-store customers waiting for service, while the assistant on shift is run ragged and can more easily make mistakes, leading of course to unhappy online customers. The team put on a brave face which is admirable, but the way its been described for a job that essentially pays minimum wage is ghastly.
