After a break of 30 years, when I saw him as a student who had tired eyes from too much reading, my eyes are back in the care of the most professional optician in the area. He explains things, takes his time and is kind and considerate.

My family have been with Robert Edwards since he first started when the business was Gallimores Opticians, I changed to contact lenses as Robert advised and wore them for over 22 yrs. I changed back to glasses and under his care my eyesight never deteriorated, all my children (now adults) went to him, and my eldest daughter who is disabled and has very short sight was discharged from the hospital eye specialist at 5 yrs old, who then recommended Robert for her future eye care, and shes been ever since. I dont know what we will do if or when he retires, as I wont use the chain opticians because they dont offer the experience, care or expertise that Robert has and gives. So our 3 generations of family have been under the care of Robert Edwards, and hope to continue for a long time yet. 5 care and professionalism.

Excellent service I have used this optician for over 25 years and they have always provided an extremely professional and friendly service. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Mr Edwards is a fabulous Optician. He's a lovely man, professional yet friendly and works to the highest technical levels. I have type 1 diabetes and he closely monitors my retinas. I now take my mother to see him for her optical needs (and my father before his death) and my daughter gets her contact lenses from him. He stocks a great range of frames and has an excellent eye for what will suit his customers. The promises are airy and comfortable, styled beautifully by Mrs Edwards. The reception staff are also very warm and friendly. I cannot recommend RG Edwards highly enough.
