This was once a lively church with a vision and incorporating Pentecostal style worship that can lift you. The church was once solidly and soundly based in good theology but it has begun to adopt postmodern ideas and principles. The vision to expand and grow is still strong, but it has now married into the Word Faith based New Apostolic Reformation model of church which is rooted in Latter Rain theology - and that brings huge theological problems for some, including myself. There have been many profound changes since the last pastor left, including the nature of what is seen as 'pastoral care' and there is now a focus on social interaction, getting involved in activities, but little in the way of solid bible teaching. Sure, they do mid week groups - but the studies are very superficial and lack real meat. Hence the church as a whole lacks discernment and is following the idea of 'revival' that has been ongoing for 50 years in these circles but which has never, ever shown up - the 'new thing' never will show up either because there is no new thing under the sun... Although prospects for the future may appear positive in some ways, I have serious concerns about the theological direction and the leadership structure here and there are signs of things going in a not so positive direction. Because of the general move away from real church into the modern 'business based' models of church that lack compassion and care I have downgraded this review even further. Once known for its support of students, there are few who now consider this church truly sound; it's reputation of sending ministers into missions of all sorts is faded, and its once famous children's work is all but dead (and not due to the pandemic either). This church also once maintained global connections that were wholesome and biblical, but is now linking with some seriously more questionable ministries that claim titles of 'apostle' and 'prophet' which bring in some very unbiblical trends and patterns into church life.

Brilliant playgroup run by three ladies, each a grandmother of children who are and have been at the group. Only 1 for 1.5hours. Children get free snacks. Coffee and tea for the adults. Full facilities available. Unfortunately not wheelchair accessible upstairs. Singing and ring a roses at the end with instruments.
