19.04.2023 Professional, Friendly, No pressure service As stated on their website, this is what their business claims to offer and what we had originally believed until today. Mr. Dave is a lovely gentleman along with the two young lads who are often level-headed, reasonable merchants and are capable of handling employee-customer conflict. On this particular occasion, Mr. Malcolm seemed to have woken up on the wrong side of the bed or contracted an episode of seasonal mood swings. He exhibited what most customers would describe as unprofessional, disrespectful, and uncivilised (despite being repeatedly asked to calm down). After politely requesting additional stamps for purchasing multiple products exceeding the stated ten-pound threshold on the customer loyalty card, Mr. Malcolm furiously explained the cost of sale could not be split in order to acquire many stamps as this would affect him financially and we are taking the mick out of the loyalty scheme. Granted, this significant clause could have been more clearly advertised (or even reflected in the fine print!) however, he proceeded to obtain the loyalty card and tear it before ourselves harming his reputation in the process. The hostile demeanour portrayed by Mr. Malcolm observably dismayed those present during his act of aggression causing an unsettling atmosphere and ultimately warranting a loss of business. The overwhelming nature of this recount serves as primary example that situational judgement is paramount to preserve customer integrity and instil moral conduct. Needless to say, this incident could have been better dealt with as Im sure his colleagues would agree. To reiterate, the three acclaimed principles were not adhered to in any capacity. Professional? I beg to differ. Friendly? Not in the slightest. No pressure service? Well, how would you have felt? And remember, a product is only as good as the service that comes along with it
