My washing machine packed in this morning. I rang and spoke to Steve. He said that that he would come after lunch. He did, he was timely, fair priced and had my machine going within 20 minutes. Thankyou

Phoned them up and arranged for him to come look at our oven. He turned up over an hour late, and whilst looking at our oven he damaged our dinning table by scratching it with the grill door. Then he looked at the oven and told us it could be one of two things. Then he said he'll get a few prices and phone me back the following day which he didn't. I messaged him a few times after to see how much and when he was thinking of fixing it. I'm still waiting he never returned our calls or messages. Since then I've had the oven fixed by another company who were very helpful and reliable. .

Staffs Washers (Steve) was called to repair our 3 year old integrated NEFF dishwasher that, although going through its wash cycle, was not heating its water. After he had diagnosed the fault and the replacement part had arrived, Steve replaced its Heat Pump, rehoused the machine in its bay and left. The total cost of this repair was 161, which included a non-refundable 35 call out charge. Later that day we tried to use the machine but it was just making a whirring sound and no water was entering the machine. Steve was called and he said that he had probably kinked the water inlet hose. He came back the next day and spent quite some time at the machine, but then said that he did not know what this new problem was and that he will go back to his shop and check his circuit diagram to see what the problem was - he left taking his Heat Pump with him. The next day he phoned to say that he was 90% certain that the Control Board was now at fault and that these cost 200, but added that he did not fit these parts - Steve had effectively classified our 460 dishwasher as being uneconomical to repair. So, nothing to lose, I reinstalled our defective Heat Pump to see if the water supply would be re-established as it was before Steve's visit. It was and I found that Steve had failed to notice that after he had installed his Heat Pump the machines AQUASTOP hose safety feature had been activated, which prevents flooding by shutting off a water valve at the tap. Having resolved the inlet water valve problem I ordered and fitted a genuine Heat Pump myself for 76.67 and our dishwasher is now working perfectly, saving us over 380 if we had scrapped our dishwasher and purchased a new one. I wonder how many people have had to pay for unnecessary parts or even scrap their appliances because of an incorrect diagnosis.
