We felt we were over billed for the type of service we needed both myself and partner have other businesses this was first year of a business that has an innovative product/idea so a lot of time was spent was on R & D and only 3 months of trading over the accounting period we are talking less than 30 transactions through the bank, and were charged 1250 + VAT when we have moved to another firm who looked at what we needed and said it should of been 500 certainly no more than 750. When asked to justify cost / there was nothing tangible felt like he all most agreed we had been charged to much even mentioned a meeting which was the first meeting /consultation then mentioned minimum cost for limited company was 1000 checked all documentation this was never mentioned and I asked for a copy where it is and I never got anything back. We have been over charged they know it, we are loyal people if we get looked after we will continue to work them but we don't appreciate been ripped off!

When I bought over the Belvoir business two years ago, I thought it would be easier for business continuity to keep the existing accountant. It took them 3 months to sign me up as a client, months and months to file my self-assessment returns and I rarely received a response to my emails from the partner in charge. Still, I thought it would be difficult to switch accountants. After getting to know Dave Bould, I decided that it was time to switch. Dave and his team at Walletts respond to calls and emails within a couple of days, they action work immediately and file necessary documents without delay. I have full confidence that they will not miss any statutory deadlines, unlike my previous 3 accountants (despite me sending over all figures months in advance). In short, they are already proving to be great accountants and trusted advisers. Dave is definitely the most responsive accountant I have met. For anyone unhappy with their accountants service, thinking it is difficult to change accountants or that all accountants are the same, please just hand in your notice at your accountants and sign up at Walletts.
