Sutton and Sons

I was knowingly overcharged for my order. The man acknowledged my order and weighted the correct amounts (1kg mussels, 2 oysters), then spent 5 minutes at the till before his colleague had to come over to help. He asked the collegue to add the order, including extra oysters from the original (and within earshot). Sure enough a higher price than I had worked out in my head came up on the till. I then asked him what my order was and he repeated the original order of 1kg mussels 2 oysters back to me. Difficult to argue this was anything other than intentional. It makes me wonder how many people this works on. It wasn't a lot extra but the prices are already pretty high and I was dissapointed that the man didn't come clean even when I started questioning him. I'll be looking elsewhere after this. Watch them like a hawk.

Friendly staff, reasonable prices, and fabulous food. The large, oily, succulent, delicious grilled mackerel I ate there with you yesterday sitting in the sun made me feel I was somewhere in the Mediterranean rather than on Kingsland Road, my husband raved about his fried haddock in its thin hardly there batter, the chips were great and the salad fresh and tasty too.
