We had the pleasure of working with Hillman Gardens on both our back and front gardens as part of our Victorian renovation in Stoke Newington, Hackney. Duncan helped us to create an English garden design that was both beautiful and low maintenance, whilst accommodating the needs of grownups and little ones. Duncan was easily able to realise our design ambitions within our budget, whilst adding his own creative flair and planting expertise. His team were a pleasure to have on site and worked quickly and enthusiastically. After the back garden project we invited the team back to create a new front garden, and have since recommended them to several friends and neighbours. Duncan and his team did an excellent job completely renovating our garden and were thrilled with the outcome of the project. Duncan was available for a consultation at the start to give ideas on options for the project and also to resolve a structural issue that we were having with a border wall on one side of the garden. This included an early quote and drawings of the proposal. The renovation included a completely new design for the garden layout, including bespoke paving, landscaping and planting. Duncan suggested ideas for design and plant choices, but also stuck closely to the advice that wed given on what we were looking for. Everything was done to time and it was a pleasure having the guys around the flat for the days that they were working, who put up with our lively and inquisitive puppy! Theyve transformed the garden from a drab space into something which were really excited to spend time in and looking forward to gardening and watching it grow in the next few years.
